Competition includes classification for Middle/Junior High
Schools, and Senior High School groups. Middle and Junior High School groups
will only compete against each other. Classifications have been determined to
ensure fairness and optimum performance opportunity.
The judging panel will consist of three adjudicators for choral
and instrumental (Jazz band will have two adjudicators). There will be no sight
reading or required numbers. Groups may elect to participate for festival
rating, or for awards in competition. Each school may enter up to five (5)
choral groups.
Parade and Auxiliary Performances will be held on Saturday
(some exceptions may apply).
PLEASE NOTE: All music performed will be adjudicated.
Each group will perform one warm-up (if desired) and two
compositions of the Director's choice suitable for festival use. If more than
one group from a school is in the same category, the second group must be
entered in Open Class.
Fiesta-val will make available an announcer’s microphone,
piano, conductor’s stand and standard 3-step choral risers. No special lighting
or sound system will be provided.
Each group will be allowed fifteen (15) minutes to set up,
perform, and clear the stage.
CLASSIFICATIONS:
Division I: Middle and Junior High School
Division I - Open: Middle and Junior High School
Senior High School groups will be classified according to
school enrollment or Open Class.
Division II: 600 and below
Division III: 601 to 1100
Division IV: 1101 and above
Open Class Division
(jazz literature without choreography)
Jazz Choirs will be allowed up to 20 minutes to set up,
perform, and clear the stage.

Senior High School: Division II & Open Class Division

Show Choirs will be allowed up to 25 minutes to set up,
perform, and clear the stage.
